I mean, Yui parted her hair on the other side [for about five seconds], which was adorable. And then of course, we find out that Nodoka is in their class, and she declares that, “it looks like I’m going to be in a loud class.” Yes, Nodoka, you are.
Especially after we learn that Sawako is going to be their homeroom teacher. Ha ha ha, this is so unrealistically perfect that it would probably irritate me if it wasn’t K-on!. Because K-on! is supposed to be fun, not realistic. And it’s supposed to be a time kill, not some deep show. Read the rest of this entry »
Alright, I decided to do a Hideyoshi gallery for fun. I won’t be using any particularly NSFW images, though some may be somewhat suggestive. So there, I warned you.
Anyway! 30 Hideyoshi images for you to enjoy. I tried to be both comprehensive and selective, so this is not every single Hideyoshi image known to man or anything. However, not all of these are Hideyoshi images that I particularly love. Or even like. Also, the links do all go to Pixiv.
Smithy also put up some Hideyoshi art on his blog. I only overlapped the images that I really like, so check his out too. Doing this, I learned that the people who compile these galleries are seriously patient. It takes ages.

This is not a post to flame Touhou. That is not my intention and will never be my intention. I don’t flame. I may rage every now and then, but I do not flame. The title mainly comes from my desire to use that image. Anyway, since that disclaimer is out of the way, I will continue on with what I wanted to say. Which has to do with fanart and favorite series.
I’m not going to sit here and say things like, “artists should draw art for my favorites series x* because it’s my favorite series!” (though I would love it if they did). Nor will I say, “you should like my favorite series x because it’s more awesome than your favorite series y!”. That’s just silly.
No, I’m more of a, “hey, I happened to notice that no one draws for series x, but everyone draws things for series y. I wonder what gives series y its appeal? I don’t really like it.” kind of person.
So, what is your series y and what gives it its appeal? What’s that favorite series that always gets you fired up?! What reasons do you give for other people to watch your series y? Read the rest of this entry »
Let’s change things up a bit and talk about an artist that doesn’t use smooth lines for their artwork. If you know me, you know I tend to love the artists with smooth linearts, smooth coloring, smoooothness. Yeah.
Well, I also like some artists that deviate from that pattern, and kanikama is at the top of the list. I’ve mentioned kanikama in the past, most notably in my Shinryaku! Ika Musume review. I say “notable” because kanikama is one of the few artists who has done good work for the very adorable series. Read the rest of this entry »
This is a very cute manga that I discovered through the artist kanikama (thumbnail image). I didn’t really realize it was a manga at first, but someone told me it was, and I went to check it out. It’s great!
The story is about a squid (Squid Girl) who comes out of the ocean to take over humanity as revenge for its actions taken against the ocean. Pollution, etc. She’s very angry! Squid Girl soon meets some other girls who run a restaurant by the sea, and she gets roped into helping them at their shop, with comedic side effects. Read the rest of this entry »
